For Example: 8700-4030 CAUTION: Like a pair of shoes, best engine building practices dictate that pistons should be replaced in matched sets. That being said, single pistons are available. However, the following points must be understood and considered. DSS Racing pistons are normally manufactured in matched sets of 4, 6, 8 or 10, for this reason, it is less cost effective to purchase single pistons. They are made to order and are NOT RETURNABLE under any circumstances. Because the singles you are purchasing were not made at the same time your original pistons were made there will be variations that could effect their weight. They could be heaver or lighter than your original pistons. You will be required to do whatever it takes to match your other pistons weight, including potentially having to re-balance the rotating assembly. Single Piston Replacement Pro Pip: Do yourself a favor and inspect all your pistons and cylinders carefully before making the decision to buy single replacements. It is very common to order a single piston to replace an obviously damaged piston only to find out you need a few more. One or two replacements might make sense, more than that and it would have been more cost effective and better to replace the whole set.

Does your LS engine have press fit rods? If it does it requires a .945 Diameter wrist pin. If your full floating, bushed connecting rods are worn or in bad shape you might also consider this option to make them like new again by honing them from the stock .943 to .945. When you order this option with a new set of LS .943 pin pistons, we swap the std .943 dia. pin for a .945 dia. pin. We then pin fit the piston pin bores accordingly for the .945 dia. pin. The price of this option assumes that it is done at the time of order. It can be done after the fact but pin fitting the pistons twice adds on quite a bit more labor.

Please specify the correct part # of the ring set you need a replacement for in the note section of the checkout page. We have a limited quantity of single cylinder sets in stock. Most will require special order. NOTE: Single cylinder ring sets are not returnable under any circumstances.
